Aisha Yesufu Reacts After Kano Council Banned Women From Meeting Lovers In Public Places At Night.

It was recently reported that Kano Council banned women from meeting their lovers in public places night. This decision caused several Nigerians to react differently.

Based on that note, a well known human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu decided to react. Aisha Yesufu is one woman who always speaks out when there is a need for her to do so.

While reacting, she made it clear that anytime there is some political agitation amongst people in Kano, Hisbah comes out with one ruling or the other. She stated it clearly that this is "a ploy of using religion to keep the people oppressed."

This is really not a good one at all. I don't see any reason why people should be banned from visiting their friends at night. Does it mean that people are no longer free to live freely in Kano State? This is really not the way forward.
